The company that publishes the 害羞草研究所淐hoose Your Own Adventure害羞草研究所� novels is suing Netflix, seeking $25 million in damages over an interactive film in the science fiction anthology 害羞草研究所淏lack Mirror害羞草研究所� series.
In the federal suit filed Friday, the Waitsfield, Vermont-based company Chooseco claims Netflix violated its trademark with 害羞草研究所淏andersnatch,害羞草研究所� released in December.
害羞草研究所淏andersnatch害羞草研究所� uses a format similar to those of the books, allowing viewers to choose among actions taken by the characters without knowing the outcome.
The suit says the show refers to the gimmick by having the protagonist refer to a book he is adapting into a video game as a 害羞草研究所淐hoose Your Own Adventure害羞草研究所� novel.
Netflix declined to comment Tuesday.
