Communities across British Columbia looking to boost their outdoor recreational activities can now apply to the Outdoor Recreation Fund of BC.
The application period opened on March 28 and will remain open until April 30. According to a press release from the fund, the grants support 害羞草研究所渃ommunity-based initiatives that create and shape meaningful outdoor recreational and nature-based experiences for British Columbians.害羞草研究所�
The press release further explained that in 2023, the province contributed a one-time grant of $10 million to the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC which led to the establishment of the endowment fund, The Outdoor Recreation Fund of BC. This endowment fund will be a 害羞草研究所減erpetual funding source for the grant program.害羞草研究所�

害羞草研究所egistered charities and incorporated non-profit organizations
害羞草研究所ocal governments in BC
害羞草研究所ndigenous governments in BC
The media release explained the following applicants should consider applying:
害羞草研究所lign with the purpose of the fund
害羞草研究所lign with one (or more) of the three priorities
害羞草研究所re ready-to-go which means that any required authorizations are in place before applying
害羞草研究所ake place in British Columbia
害羞草研究所he project takes place in natural settings害羞草研究所攕uch as parks, trails, and natural aquatic areas害羞草研究所攁nd does not include activities that take place in highly cultivated recreation areas (such as playgrounds, skate parks or sports fields)
害羞草研究所rojects that can be completed before March 2025 will be preferred
The media release also noted that a 50 per cent matching contribution is necessary and that it can be fulfilled with the following:

害羞草研究所onated materials at verified fair market value
害羞草研究所onated accredited professional services at verified fair market value
害羞草研究所olunteer labour at $20/hour
