Coffee lovers pulled up to Tim Hortons from the break of dawn, right into the night, on Wednesday, to help children from low income families go to summer camp.

During Tim Hortons Camp Day 100 per cent of proceeds from hot coffee sales will go towards sending thousands of youth to an experience they will never forget.

Children aged 11 to 16 will be able to go to seven different camps across North America to participate in programs and activities deliberately designed to build self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills.

Everyone helps out during Camp Day in communities across Canada, from police officers, to firefighters who volunteer their time.

In Penticton, Tim Hortons employee Shelia Mindo says the day has been success with dozens of people coming in to donate.
