MoveWell Cafe event, July 20.

Get ready to sweat, sip and dip during a special fundraising event at MoveWell Cafe in Kelowna.

Located in the north end at 1019 Richter Street, MoveWell Cafe owners Lise and Sean MacMillan are offering a morning of movement and refreshments, followed by a cold dip in an ice bath.

The event will be held on July 20, and all in support of the Okanagan Humane Society,

The MacMillans are big-time animal lovers, who often bring their pup Molly to work with them at their business located next to the cafe.

The MoveWell mini class starts at 9 a.m., followed by refreshments in partnership with north-end neighbours Simps, Motherlove Ferments and Stoke cold press juices.

Those looking to attend will need to bring a mat, bathing suit and towel.

Tickets are $20 which will be donated to the Okanagan Humane Society. The non-profit is a foster-based, volunteer-powered organization, where 95 per cent of every dollar raised goes directly to medical care for animals. In addition to its Rescue Program, OHS also makes spay/neuter accessible to low-income families to help prevent pet overpopulation and end the unnecessary suffering of animals.

In 2023, OHS assisted more than 2,500 animals.
