Kelowna college student害羞草研究所檚 support for mom becomes family affair

Ben Wiancko害羞草研究所檚 family flew in from Edmonton to run together at the CIBC Run for the Cure

Hundreds of people gathered at Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 City Park on Oct. 1 for the CIBC Run for the Cure.

Local college student Ben Wiancko signed up to run for his mom, Tracee Pratt who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, and upon hearing the news Pratt gathered up her family from Edmonton and flew in to be part of the race.

Together the family, Team Tumerator, raised over $12,800 and was the top fundraising team of the event.

Pratt is proud of her son for stepping up and signing up, she害羞草研究所檚 proud of her husband John who was the top individual fundraiser of the Kelowna event and is fighting cancer himself, and she害羞草研究所檚 proud of everyone who showed up to raise funds for cancer research.

害羞草研究所淭he journey is just filled with so many silver linings when you go through it,害羞草研究所 Pratt said. 害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 so emotional and it just fills your heart and soul with the energy you need to keep fighting.害羞草研究所

Pratt said this is her first year participating in the run, but it won害羞草研究所檛 be the last.
