Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Kelowna on March 31 to celebrate Trans Day of Visibility.
Approximately 350 were on hand for the community showcase 害羞草研究所楢mplifying our Joy害羞草研究所 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, including everything from musicians, to drag performers, poets and more.
A Trans Flag Flashmob was also held to show the community害羞草研究所檚 support.
The Okanagan Gender Identity Group worked alongside TransParent, Advocacy Canada, and the Kelowna Pride Society to make the event a success.
害羞草研究所淲e believe that in this current political moment, the best antidote to anti-trans hatred and bigotry is to amplify our joy,害羞草研究所 said Okanagan Gender Identity Group co-founder Jade Waters, who also performed alongside her punk band, Svengali.
