Young students at a Vernon Catholic school delighted in opening gifts from their classmates this Christmas, but they didn害羞草研究所檛 forget about other kids their age who might not be so blessed.

Marie Petrucci and Cliona Kilarski害羞草研究所檚 Grade 4/5 class at St. James School took part in a Secret Santa gift exchange this Christmas. Students drew names for a student or staff member in the class and bought a small gift.

The students were also asked to bring in a gift to donate to Santas Anonymous Society North Okanagan.

The results were heartwarming, as the students brought in enough gifts to give to more than two dozen other kids who may not have received a Christmas gift at all if not for Santas Anonymous.

害羞草研究所淥ur students recognize that not everyone experiences Christmas in the same way. Our goal was to support our community by bringing the joy that we celebrate as Catholics during this time of Advent to other children. We were able to fill two big boxes with gifts for more than 25 kids,害羞草研究所� said Kilarski.

Santas Anonymous continued to

provide Christmas cheer for locals in need this past Christmas, even though their rent had doubled in the last year.
