Lake Country RCMP seized approximately nine grams of suspected fentanyl, several thousand dollars in cash and drug paraphernalia after conducting an early morning traffic stop.
Officers observed a suspicious vehicle pulling into a gas station in the 9700 Block of Highway 97, at approximately 3 a.m. on Dec. 16.
After approaching the vehicle, the Mounties noticed drug paraphernalia and suspected drugs inside. The passenger and driver were arrested after a brief struggle. The cash and the drugs found led the officers to believe that the individuals are involved in the illicit drug trade. The investigation remains ongoing.
