2 fast, now furious: Speeders busted in Kelowna

The drivers were nabbed on Springfield Road and Highway 33

Kelowna RCMP say speed is a leading cause of fatal collisions in B.C.

Kelowna RCMP nabbed two excessive speeders at the same time in different areas of the city Tuesday (July 16).

One officer was set up on Springfield Road near View Road where he clocked a vehicle doing106 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. 

At the same time, another officer set up on Highway 33 near Garner Road caught a vehicle travelling 108km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

Both drivers were given excessive speeding tickets of $368 and had their vehicles impounded for seven days. 

It wasn害羞草研究所檛 the first excessive speeding ticket for the driver caught on Highway 33, which may result in further sanctions from ICBC.
