A cement spill at the intersection of Gordon Drive and Clement Avenue in Kelowna on Aug. 22, 2024.

Update: Aug. 23 8:30 a.m.

Kelowna RCMP confirmed that officers discovered concrete-like material spread down Gordon Drive at Clement Avenue at about 2 p.m., Thursday.

Officers followed the short trail of wet substance which lead to an apparent concrete truck leaking material.

Police stopped the vehicle and discovered the truck was  "not fully latched."

The truck was made secure and continued on its way.  
 

Officers notified the city about the debris on the roadway.  However, city officials told Black Press Media on Thursday at about 3:30 p.m. that they knew of no such incident and were not responding to the area. 

Update 5 p.m.

The spill at Gordon Drive and Clement Avenue has been cleaned up.

Crews are busy cleaning up a concrete-like waste spill at the intersection of Gordon Drive and Clement Avenue.

According to a witness, the spill happened around 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22. It害羞草研究所檚 unclear exactly what caused the spill.
