Check trail cameras: Search for missing Kelowna senior continues

RCMP are asking if anyone has trail cameras in the Dee Lake / Doreen Lake area

The search continues for a missing 79-year-old man from Kelowna.

Allan Francescutti was last seen leaving his home in his truck on April 16.

Then on April 23, Francescutti害羞草研究所檚 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was discovered in the forest near Postill Road, near the Beaver Lake and Dee Lake Road area, by members of the Okanagan Forest Task Force and an off-roading group called O.T.B.

Now, after more than a week of searching the area the Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public害羞草研究所檚 assistance if they have any trail cameras located on the various areas of the Dee Lake / Doreen Lake area that possibly show the road.

害羞草研究所淲e know hunters sometimes have cameras located on the trails in that area and we are hopeful one of them caught Mr. Francescutti,害羞草研究所 said Kelowna RCMP missing persons coordinator Const. Brigitte Fodell.

Members of the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue team will be back in the area this weekend to continue the search on foot.

Duane Tresninch from COSAR said volunteers will have scent detection dogs, including Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 Barrett, helping to locate Francescutti. Tresninch said that despite the search for Francescutti is 害羞草研究所渟low going.害羞草研究所

The densely forested terrain is difficult to move through as there is a lot of blowdown of dead trees and branches.

If you have trail cameras in the Dee Lake / Doreen Lake areas please contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 immediately and reference the file number 2024-19989.
