If you love to rock climb or want to try it out, get ready for a super º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù˜Gneissº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™ (pronounced nice) time with a free event at Kelownaº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s bouldering gym.

Gneiss climbing gym is hosting an Arcº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™teryx launch party to welcome the outdoor gear store to the Okanagan on May 30. The new Arcº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™teryx store is located downtown on Bernard Avenue but an official opening date has not yet been announced.

Admission to the New Kids on the Bloc Climb Party is free, and the event will take place at the gymº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s Hill Security location on May 30, from 6-10 p.m.

The block-party style event will feature climbing, music by Ur Girl Meems, food from El Taquero and bevvies from Rustic Reel.

There will also be a raffle to win a shopping spree at the new Arcº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™teryx store in Kelowna.

The bouldering society works to promote inclusive climbing and improve access to outdoor spaces for all people. The group is also holding a trail day at the boulderfields on May 26, to get ready for the climbing season.

The event is free to attend, with climbing shoe rentals included.
