Kelowna library celebrates Ukrainian culture with new kid's books

An event to launch the book collection is being held Aug. 23

In partnership with Okanagan 4 Ukraine, Kelowna Stands with Ukraine and the United Way of B.C., the Okanagan Regional Library is launching a new collection of Ukrainian books for children. 

害羞草研究所淲e are honoured to support this initiative, which not only enriches our library害羞草研究所檚 collection but also strengthens our commitment to serving all members of our diverse communities," said Danielle Hubbard, CEO of Okanagan Regional Library. "The addition of Ukrainian children害羞草研究所檚 literature is a significant milestone in fostering cultural understanding and inclusivity within our library system.害羞草研究所

The new books will help Ukrainian children connect with their culture and language.

The collection will be launched during an event on Aug. 23 at the library branch in downtown Kelowna from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Activities and treats will be available for children in attendance free of cost.
