The Kelowna Rockets won both their games on the weekend (Oct. 21-22)
They beat the Tri-City Americans 4-3 in the shootout in Kennewick, WA, on Friday night.
Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 Michael Cicek opened the scoring at 1:32 of the second period with an assist from Tij Iginla.
The Americans tied it a minute later on a power play goal.
Jackson Gillespie put the Rockets up 2-1 at the 4:09 mark with assists from Andrew Cristall and Bariel Szturc.
Iginla made 3-1 on the power play at 4:53 of the third period with Cristall and Szturc getting assists.
Tri-Cities would score at 11:06, on the power play, and again at 16:15 to tie the game and force overtime.
Cristall netted the shootout winner for the Rockets.
On Saturday night Kelowna welcomed the Vancouver Giants to Prospera Place.
Cristall got things started with a power play goal at 6:57 of the first period.
Iginla and Caden Price assisted on the goal.
The Giants then reeled off three straight goals, one near the end of the first and two in the second period.
Kelowna responded with two goals unanswered markers.
Dylan Wightman scored on the power play at 10:23, with assists going to Ehtan Mittelsteadt and John Babcock.
Marek Rocak tied the game at 15:08 with assists from Cristall and Iginla.
Just three minutes into the third period Vancouver tied the game 4-4 on a short-handed goal, however, the Rockets scored two goals two minutes apart to take a 6-4 lead.
Iginla scored at 7:22 with Cicek assisting, while Szturc netted what would be the game-winning goal at 9:28, with Cristall and Landon Copwer getting the assists.
The Giants added one more goal at 16:08 in the 6-5 final.
As of Oct. 23, the Rockets are tied for third in the Western Conference with the Tri-City Americans with 13 points.
Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 next game is Wed. Oct. 25 against the Victoria Royals at Prospera Place.
