The Wilson害羞草研究所檚 Landing Fire Department is kicking off a recruitment campaign and is seeking new recruits to join their team as paid-on-call firefighters.

Following the devastating McDougall Creek Wildfire, the department needs help now more than ever.

Established in 1984, the Wilson害羞草研究所檚 Landing Fire Department serves the community along Westside Road from Trader害羞草研究所檚 Cove to Shelter Cove.

Prospective members must reside within an eight-kilometre radius of Station 42 be between the age of 19 and 65 and be in good physical condition.

A recruitment information session will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at Station 42 at 2396 Westside Road.

Interviews and physical tests for candidates will be conducted and successful applicants will receive training beginning in January. Training is provided weekly on Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
