A Kelowna roofing company is mourning the loss of a long-time employee, colleague, and mentor.

In a media release, Laing Roofing said Roy Olsen died in a motorcycle crash on May 20 in Kelowna.

RCMP confirmed that a 56-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash that closed a section of Highway 33 on May 20.

A celebration of life will be held at Springfield Funeral Home on Friday, June 7 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow after the service.
