Search resumes for missing senior near Lake Country

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue was once again in the Dee Lake area looking for a missing senior last seen April 16.

Allan Francescutti害羞草研究所檚 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was discovered in the forest near Postill Road, near the Beaver Lake and Dee Lake Road area, by members of the Okanagan Forest Task Force, on April 23.

RCMP and search and rescue, were in the Lake Country area for days looking for teh 79-year-old , however, the densely forested terrain was difficult to move through as there was a lot of blowdown of dead trees and branches.

On May 30, COSAR was asked by RCMP to return to the area to conduct a shoreline search of Loon Lake, even using an ROV underwater camera, but unfortunately, volunteers came up empty-handed.

害羞草研究所淪earch and rescue teams have put in thousands of hours and covered hundreds of kilometres of road on this task and our commitment will not waver until Allan is found,害羞草研究所 said COSAR in a Facebook post.

Since April, recreational users of the Dee Lake / Doreen Lake area have been asked to check their trail cameras for any sign of Francescutti and to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 immediately and reference the file number 2024-19989.
