Single car crash stalls Kelowna commute amid dark, wet road conditions

A reported single-vehicle crash caused delays northbound on Highway 97 at the intersection of Highway 33 just before 6 p.m., Monday.

According to witnesses, a small vehicle collided with a light standard near the right turning lane from Highway 33 onto Highway 97.

The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage.

Emergency crews were on the scene for almost an hour, blocking a lane of Highway 33. Itº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s unclear if those involved in the crash sustained any injuries.

The cause of the collision is not known.

There were several reports of crashes along Highway 97 Monday evening as conditions were dark and wet.
