Young change-makers are invited to submit their thought-provoking creations to the Arts for Social Change Project

Change makers in Kelowna are being given a platform to have their thoughts, ideas and passions heard through the Arts for Social Change Project.

Youth aged 5-25 are encouraged to submit any kind of art project that aligns with the , which aim to create a healthy future for the planet, by Jan. 31.

害羞草研究所淚 want the youth change makers of the Okanagan to take this opportunity and run with it,害羞草研究所 said Project coordinator, Jamie Stevens.

Artists of all modalities are invited to submit work that sparks conversation, evokes thought and inspires change. Art of all kind will be accepted for consideration.

Any youth or team of youth can submit a piece of art. 害羞草研究所渢he project celebrates the power of expression over perfection,害羞草研究所 said Stevens.

害羞草研究所淚t害羞草研究所檚 not about technical skills or traditional measures of artistic talent; rather, the project seeks art that speaks, that conveys a message.害羞草研究所

Stevens said that she wants people to create art derived from passion.

害羞草研究所淟et害羞草研究所檚 turn your thoughts into a conversation and your concerns into action害羞草研究所 This is your chance to be heard in the community,害羞草研究所 said Stevens.

The selected pieces will be curated into exhibits this spring at the The Rotary Centre for the Arts, Kelowna Innovation Centre, Okanagan Regional Libraries, and local businesses as well as on social media.

Additionally, some pieces will be displayed at the Sustainability and Art Fair on February 22, at the Rotary Center for the Arts.

The deadline for submission is Jan. 31.
