Truck loses load on bridge causing delays leaving Kelowna

A vehicular incident on the William Bennett Bridge is causing delays for drivers

An incident involving a truck at the base of the William Bennett Bridge in Kelowna is causing delays for drivers leaving the city.

The incident occurred at approximately 1 p.m. on May 29, between Abbott St and the bridge. The southbound right-hand lane remains closed, impacting traffic for those heading towards West Kelowna.

According to a Capital News reader who drove past the incident, it appears as though a truck driver did not properly secure their load resulting in debris falling onto the bridge.
