West Kelowna Warriors host Salvation Army Night against Salmon Arm

The game helps the Salvation Army kick off their annual kettle campaign

The West Kelowna Warriors are back in action on Wednesday night as the holiday season begins at Royal LePage Place.

Wednesday night害羞草研究所檚 contest is Salvation Army Night at the rink as the Warriors welcome the Salmon Arm Silverbacks to town. The purpose of the night is to help kick off the Salvation Army害羞草研究所檚 annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.

害羞草研究所淲e are always delighted to partner with the Westside Salvation Army,害羞草研究所 said West Kelowna Warriors president Chris Laurie. 害羞草研究所淭he Westside Salvation Army does so much great work in our community at Christmas and all year long. I害羞草研究所檓 pleased we can play a role in raising awareness. Our players and staff will also join the mission of serving those in need by donating and filling a few kettle shifts. We thank our loyal and generous fans for coming out and supporting this great organization.害羞草研究所

As part of the night, there will be a ceremonial puck drop with Westbank First Nation Councillor Jordan Coble, West Kelowna Mayor Gord Milsom, and Peachland Mayor Patrick Van Minsel as they make a donation to the Salvation Army. The game害羞草研究所檚 50/50 also supports their Christmas Gifts of Hope program and the famous Christmas kettles will be placed throughout the arena for people to donate. The Salvation Army害羞草研究所檚 mascot 害羞草研究所楽ally害羞草研究所 will also be at the game interacting with fans.

害羞草研究所淥ur hope is, that with the help of our local dignitaries and the West Kelowna Warriors, we can spread the message of the Westside Salvation Army害羞草研究所檚 Christmas Kettle Campaign,害羞草研究所 said Westside Salvation Army害羞草研究所檚 Jennifer Henson. 害羞草研究所淲e are actively looking for volunteer bell ringers, we want our community to know that the need is greater than ever before, and we want to make sure that everyone knows that if they are in need, we are here to help.害羞草研究所

On the ice, the Warriors are looking to get back on track as they are 1-3-1 in the month of November. Despite the struggles, the Warriors remain fourth in the BCHL害羞草研究所檚 Interior Division with a 10-6-2-0 record (22 points). Salmon Arm comes into the game also with 22 points but is third in the conference as they have 11 wins and have played fewer games. November had gone the exact opposite for the Silverbacks as they are 4-1 in the month.

Wednesday害羞草研究所檚 puck drop is at 7 p.m.
