Cluster of spot fires spark near Manning Park

Two helicopters and eight personnel are on scene

The fires were discovered Thursday, July 18.

Lightning is the suspected cause of a cluster of three spot fires on Placer Mountain, near Eastgate and close to Manning Park, according to a spokesperson from BC Wildfire.

The fires were reported on Thursday, July 18.

The fires are each approximately .1 hectares in size and are being actioned together.

BC Wildfire reports that two helicopters and eight personnel are on scene, and air bombers are available to the crew, should they be required.

All three fires are declared out of control.
