Disruption outside Princeton courtroom results in man being detained

Accused was making an appearance of a charge of uttering threats

Sheriffs are always in attendance at Princeton court.

A local man was taken into custody outside the Princeton courtroom Thursday, July 11, following a scheduled appearance and an ensuing and loud disturbance.

The man, who cannot be named as he was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.

He害羞草研究所檇 attended court to answer a charge of uttering threats.

The accused refused to speak to duty counsel and did not have a lawyer.

He made disparaging comments about the process, calling it a 害羞草研究所渒angaroo court,害羞草研究所 while speaking directly to Judge Shannon Keyes.

He said he would not enter into a peace bond to settle the charges, and repeated that he wanted to, "maintain my innocence."

Later, the man became agitated after reviewing discovery information related to his case. Several peace officers were available and able to help contain the situation, which could be heard throughout the municipal hall building, where the courtroom is located.

The uttering threats charge was adjourned to the August court date.
