A mother and her two-month-old infant were taken to hospital following a crash Thursday evening.

On March 17 at 8:13 p.m., the Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of a head on collision in the intersection of Gordon Drive and Guisachan Road.

"Police have determined that a red Toyota Camry had been east bound on Guisachan Road and proceeding straight through the intersection when a west bound red Ford Escape turned left in front of the Camry," said Const. Jesse O'Donaghey, in a press release.  "Both vehicles sustained moderate to significant front end damage and were not considered driveable."

The driver of the Ford Escape, a 24-year-old Kelowna woman sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash. She and her two-month-old infant, who was reportedly not injured in this crash, were taken to hospital.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, a 67-year-old Kelowna man, was not injured.
