The popular Capital News Centre in Kelowna害羞草研究所檚 Mission is getting a new name.

Professional services firm MNP has entered into a six-and-a-half-year agreement with GSL Group to secure naming rights for the sports complex.

Effective Jan. 1, 2024, the Capital News Centre will officially rebrand as MNP Place.

害羞草研究所淪ince MNP entered the Kelowna marketplace in 2005, we害羞草研究所檝e made it our mission to support the local institutions and communities in which we live and work, so the investment in MNP Place was a natural fit,害羞草研究所� said Jennifer Hollis, MNP regional managing partner in the Thompson-Okanagan. 害羞草研究所淭he sports and recreation centre is very much aligned with our firm害羞草研究所檚 values of building a sense of community, belonging, and wellness in our great city and we couldn害羞草研究所檛 be more excited.害羞草研究所�

The facility was built in 2004 and has served as a training ground, a tournament host, a community gathering spot, and more. The building includes a full-service restaurant, concessions, and two NHL-size ice rinks.

GSL Group owns and operates many sports facilities throughout the province, including Prospera Place in Kelowna, Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, and various Planet Ice locations in the Lower Mainland.
