Mounties look for driver in Okanagan hit and run

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after a Saturday hit and run

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle which ultimately fled the scene late Saturday night.

On April  2 at 11:21 p.m., the Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian hit and run in the private laneway of 8945 Highway 97 North on the border or Lake Country and Kelowna. Police have been told that a 35-year-old Lake Country man was attempting to confront the driver of a vehicle driving erratically in the laneway. The man, who attempted to wave the driver of the vehicle down, was struck by the vehicle and subsequently flung to the ground before fleeing the area.

Police are seeking the public害羞草研究所檚 assistance in locating the suspect vehicle which has been described as white newer model SUV, possibly a Nissan or Mazda.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital for assessment and treatment of what police describe as non-life threatening injuries.
