Princeton's Ponderosa Ridge Ranch had the unique experience of participating in the Calgary Stampede earlier this month.

Ponderosa is a noted breeder of Gypsy Cob horses, and took five animals to Alberta, along with meeting up with a sixth Gypsy for their entry into the annual parade.

害羞草研究所�We were invited the last few years but unfortunately, due to foaling, we were unable to attend. So this year I planned we are going...We represented the breed and had so many people stop to ask about us and take pictures. Members of Parliament and celebrities. It was pretty neat.害羞草研究所�

Ponderosa Ridge had one of 700 entries in the parade, which was enjoyed by 350,000 people.

The trip required intensive labour and organization.

害羞草研究所�For the week prior there was so much bathing,害羞草研究所� she laughed. 害羞草研究所�(There was) prep for outfits, organizing stalls and entries.害羞草研究所�

The ranch team left Princeton at 3 a.m., and on 2 a.m. of parade day team members were up rewashing spots and ensuring everything was perfect.

害羞草研究所�We had polished all the tack prior and covered everything to try to keep it clean. We got everyone looking their best and ourselves dressed.害羞草研究所�

Beauchamp said the best part of the trip was being able to treat her coworkers to the event.

害羞草研究所�Seeing the smiles on their faces, and how elated, it made them was worth all the effort.害羞草研究所�

The Calgary Stampede runs from July 5 to 14, and attendance is expected to see at at least one million people.

It is the largest outdoor rodeo in the world, but also features chart-topping music artists in concert, Indigenous ceremonies, a midway, and many other attractions.
