At least five vehicles were rummaged through and stolen from overnight in Coldstream July 14.

"Frontline officers are investigating a series of theft from vehicles that occurred between late Sunday, July 14 night and early Monday, July 15 morning," said Cpl. Tania Finn, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media relations officer.

Five police reports have been made from residents in the area of Kidston Road and Coldstream Creek Road.   

"The investigations are currently active as officers secure video surveillance from the area," said Finn.

Resident Sherman Dahl was one of the victims, who caught a suspect on video surveillance early Monday morning trying to open cars.

"Please contact Vernon RCMP or call 250-558-8340 if you found any personal information - papers taken from car," said Dahl, who is also aware of other homes hit in the area.
