The subject of a number of high-profile court cases is looking for some changes to his probation.

Curtis Sagmoen was before a Judicial Case Manager at the Vernon Courthouse Monday, Feb. 26 in an effort to vary one of the terms of his probation order, according to Damienne Darby, BC Prosecution Service Communications Counsel.

The defence application has been scheduled for April 2, 2024.

Sagmoen害羞草研究所檚 probation stems from a Dec. 13, 2023 sentencing for breach of probation.

Conditions of his probation include that he must report to a probation officer within two days of his release; he must live in an approved address with an approved phone number; he must not associate with anyone named by his probation officer; he must not possess or consume alcohol or drugs except for medical prescriptions; he must not enter any liquor store, bar or any business where minors are prohibited; he must take counselling as directed by his probation officer; he must not possess a mobile communication device aside from one cell phone registered to his name for attending virtual court appearances; he must not delete the history of communications on his cell phone without approval; and he must have no contact with a victim whose name is protected by a publication ban.

Sagmoen has previously been convicted of crimes against sex trade workers.

His family害羞草研究所檚 Silver Creek farm on Salmon River Road, where he lives, was the subject of an extensive RCMP investigation after the remains of 18-year-old Tracy Genereaux were discovered there in 2017. No charges have been laid in relation to her death.
