Theft at the Princeton museum

A piece of Princeton害羞草研究所檚 history was stolen from the community

A piece of Princeton害羞草研究所檚 history was stolen from the local museum...and everyone wants it back.

On July 16, a man stole a pocket watch out of a display case at the Princeton and District Museum, and the theft was recorded on video.

The watch was originally owned and used by John Allison, founder of the Town of Princeton.

He was the first European settler in the area, in 1860.

According to both police and museum managers, the watch has very little monetary value. It was only gold-plated.

However the historical loss is what hurts.

The watch was donated to the museum only four years ago 害羞草研究所 with great ceremony 害羞草研究所 by Tipp Allison, who had received it from another family member.

Museum manager Todd Davidson expressed deep regret for the loss, and hopes for the artifact害羞草研究所檚 return.

Video evidence shows the thief walked through the museum two hours before the crime.

害羞草研究所淗e asked if he could come back with his camera. He did so and we observed him taking pictures as he moved about. Several people were in the museum at the time so we did not notice when he pried open the enclosure and grabbed the watch.害羞草研究所
