Update: The Kelowna RCMP have amended the initial statement released about the stabbing victim found injured on Pandosy Street late Tuesday night. The police now say the vicim left a residence searching for help, not his residence.

Original Story: On Tuesday April 5, 2016 at 10:59 p.m., the Kelowna RCMP received a request to assist Emergency Health Services who were on their way to a man who had been reported stabbed and suffering significant blood loss.

A Good Samaritan reportedly encountered the victim on Pandosy Street near Sutherland Avenue and tendered first aid. RCMP officers arrived on scene before emergency medical personnel. Officers quickly secured a tourniquet on one of the victim害羞草研究所檚 limbs which effectively stopped the bleeding.

The victim, a 26-year-old Vernon man, was near unconsciousness and not fully co-operative with investigators at the time. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

The investigation is in the early stages and has been taken over by the Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section. Investigators are following up on several leads.
