Vancouver breaker Philip º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù˜Wizardº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™ Kim has won the first-ever gold medal for breaking in the Olympics.
Kim, also known as B-Boy Phil Wizard, took home the gold medal after battling Franceº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s Danis º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù˜Dany Dannº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™ Civil in the final at the Paris Games on Saturday (Aug. 10). He won all three rounds.
Kim also beat Civil 2-0 in their first bout of the group stage.
The 27-year-old beat out Japanº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s Shigeyuki º¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù˜Shigekixº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™ Nakarai in the semifinals, scoring 3-0.
Victor Montalvo, of the United States, took home bronze.
Breaking, or break dancing, debuted at the 2024 Summer Games. However, itº¦Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù™s not on the list of events for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
