A four-door sedan performed a high-wire act just before 6 p.m. in Vernon on Friday evening, March 15.

The car entered a boulevard on 48th Avenue and 23rd Street by the ICBC Claims Centre and became lodged on a power pole wire, resting at a 45-degree angle.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say the driver was westbound on 48th Avenue and turned in front of an eastbound vehicle.

害羞草研究所淯nfortunately, the westbound driver misjudged the distance of the oncoming vehicle resulting in the driver accelerating in the turn to prevent a collision,害羞草研究所 said Cpl. BC Hydro worked with the tow company to safely remove the vehicle.

No injuries were reported and the westbound driver was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield on left turn.
