VIDEO: RCMP officer helps family of geese cross B.C. street

A very polite and nice thing happened to a gaggle of Canada geese in Chilliwack.

The feathered family of eight 害羞草研究所 two adults and six goslings 害羞草研究所 were escorted across Yale Road at Nowell Street in downtown Chilliwack on Friday, April 29.

害羞草研究所淭oday one of our officers had the honour of keeping some of our nation害羞草研究所檚 most famous flock safe,害羞草研究所 RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Krista Vrolyk said.

It was Const. Gurpreet Manhas who helped the birds cross.

害羞草研究所淚t was a pleasure to help these geese cross the road. My concern was they were going to get hit by a car. I害羞草研究所檓 glad they made it safely,害羞草研究所 Const. Manhas said.

They crossed the street almost inside the lines of the crosswalk, but not quite. The event was captured on video by Amara Jacklynne Moore.

She said it was 害羞草研究所渃ute害羞草研究所 to witness the crossing.

害羞草研究所淎 couple of us had quite the time making sure they got to the Salish pond safely after the officer had made sure they crossed the street safely,害羞草研究所 Moore said.
