From 害羞草研究所 Facebook:
I wanted to thank the 害羞草研究所 for the excellent, in-depth and locally-produced stories on the effects of brain trauma injuries (i.e., concussions) and, in particular, sports reporter Warren Henderson害羞草研究所檚 story about a now retired university athlete who had to give up his particular sport that he played following multiple concussions.
Competitive team sports and individual adventure sports are likely among the leading causes of concussions and head injuries, along with slipping on ice in the winter time and workplace- or school-related injuries.
Some head injuries and concussions are somewhat preventable with things like helmets for sure but many are simply freak accidents that can change one害羞草研究所檚 life in a moment. Whether they are preventable or non-preventable head injuries or concussions, one thing is certain: They can have devastating personal effects to individuals and they are somewhat of a silent injury that isn害羞草研究所檛 talked about, with people thinking it won害羞草研究所檛 happen to them because they don害羞草研究所檛 play higher risk sports like ice hockey.
As an example, I won害羞草研究所檛 leave the house in the winter time when there is either snow, ice or 害羞草研究所渟lush害羞草研究所 on the ground without first putting on the 害羞草研究所渃leats害羞草研究所 on the bottom of my winter/hiking boots. While one has to be careful with the types of indoor commercial flooring one walks on while wearing these, I would encourage everyone to purchase these for next winter.
